Chief Data Officer
We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Chief Data Officer to head our Data Office. This strategic role is pivotal in shaping and executing the bank's data strategy, ensuring robust data governance, and driving innovation through advanced analytics and AI. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders to unlock the full value of data across the organization.
YOUR ROLE
Data Strategy & Governance: Define and implement the bank's data governance framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Data Architecture: Design and oversee the enterprise data architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with business needs.
Data Integration: Lead initiatives to integrate data from various internal and external sources, ensuring high data quality and consistency.
Analytics & Visualization: Promote the use of data visualization and self-service analytics tools to empower business users and enhance decision-making.
AI & Machine Learning: Drive the adoption of AI/ML technologies, from proof-of-concept to production, in collaboration with data scientists and business units.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of data professionals (data engineers, data scientists, analysts), fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on all data-related matters and represent the Data Office in strategic initiatives.
YOUR PROFILE
Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in data management roles, including at least 3 years in a leadership position.
Proven experience in:
Data governance and regulatory compliance (e.g., FINMA, GDPR)
Designing and implementing data architectures (cloud-native, data mesh, and modern data platforms)
Data integration tools and ETL processes
Business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
AI/ML frameworks and data science methodologies
Strong understanding of banking and financial services data domains.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English and French
Resident in Switzerland or willingness to relocate
