Country Deployment Lead/PM - Service Desk Consolidation Prog.
Leading global pharmaceutical company require a Country Deployment Lead/Manager for a 6 month initial contract in Basel.
The Country Deployment Lead has responsibility for ensuring delivery of Transition activities relating to the setup of new service provision and/or transfer of a set of countries to the Global Service Desk.
The Service Desk Consolidation Programme program will bring a significant amount of change to the future operating model of L1 Service Desk and On-Site Services to in-scope countries.
The introduction of this change will be driven by the supplier and it is vital that it is executed in such a way that delivers the expected benefits to the organisation whilst minimising disruption to day to day business activities.
The role of the Country Deployment Lead will be to manage the delivery of a specific portfolio of work packages covering a region of countries to the newly established services.
This role will be critical to the success of the program as the successful candidate will be the conduit between what happens 'on the ground' and the central Program team.
*Works with the supplier to confirm scope and plans for wave/country/location/service delivery
*Monitor supplier progress and report back to the main program using standard processes defined by the program PMO
*Be the first line of escalation for the supplier and resolve issues and conflicts where possible
*Ensures that 'customer responsibilities' (as defined in the associated work packages) are met according to agreed supplier plans
*Monitors supplier milestones and delivery dates
*Validates overall progress vs supplier reporting
*Coordinating project/service team and sub-team activities
*Actively following and promoting appropriate Governance for transition processes and operations
*Communicating with stakeholders and managing expectations on deliverables
*Monitoring and reporting of performance, progress and risk status
*Travelling to customer locations
*Strong communication skills
*Disciplined at reviewing within demanding timescales
*Ability to work closely with suppliers and client stakeholders
*Good co-ordination skills
*Good attention to detail
*Ability to problem solve
*Ability to work in remote geographies and quickly establish themselves in an effective manner
*Ability to deal with ambiguity
*Background in project execution
*Background knowledge of HM services and projects
*Knowledge of current environment and geographies desirable
*Previous Service Transition experience on Service Desk & On-Site
*Previous experience in managing in offshore model
